At the first Fields of Athenry 10K in 2002 it was a T-shirt, in 2004 it was a coffee mug but every other year, and this year will be no exception, every participant goes home with the now famous hat. It is always a fiercely guarded secret as to which colour in the rainbow will get the nod.
